Upaya Zen Center fosters the integration of Buddhist practice with compassionately engaged service to promote deep systemic change in our world. The many programmes include the Upaya Prison Project, Being with Dying and GRACE, contemplative end-of-life care programmes, an ethics-based Chaplaincy Training Programme and Nomads Clinics in Nepal where over 1000 patients receive medical assistance. All this is accomplished on a foundation of Buddhist practice and perspectives. Upaya is a leading proponent of engaged Buddhism in the world.
