Liberazione e Speranza

Italy

Liberazione e Speranza, founded in 2000, is operative in Italy where it is estimated that more than 30'000 women are living in sexual slavery. Many were enticed away from their homes by false promises of a better life.

Through the programmes developed by the foundation, the victims have the possibility to escape and become integrated into Italian society or, if possible, return to their countries of origin. They receive legal assistance and protection, language instruction and education for a profession, medical assistance, interim housing, work opportunities etc.

Liberazione e Speranza makes initial contact with the victims in the streets and offers the necessary support to those who wish to escape and seek legal protection.
