Eventi Letterari al Monte Verità, Ascona, Switzerland is a four-day literature festival taking its inspiration from the utopian vision of those idealists who settled on the hillside of Monte Verità at the beginning of the last century. Their plan was to sow the seeds of a social, cultural and ecological utopia they were unable to cultivate elsewhere.
Each year a different topic is discussed in relation to the underlying themes of utopia, dystopia and their relation to current trends or centennial celebrations.
The festival continues to expand its range by addressing all the senses through multimedia events, music performances, exploratory walks in nature, dance, and local guided tours in alignment with the originating aspiration to nourish and inspire in that special place where our minds can reach up to heaven.
