Vision: spreading happiness through giving
Pende Foundation was established by Andreas Reinhart in 2004 on the occasion of his 60th birthday to complement the Volkart Foundation and Volkart Vision based in Winterthur, Switzerland and Volkart Mumbai, India. Pende Foundation supports projects which do not fit the geographical criteria or the primary commitments of these foundations. "Pende" is a tibetan term for "happiness through giving". The foundation remains closely affiliated with its other partner foundations, occasionally receiving or passing on projects and exchanging expertise.
